Recount
“Errr” suddenly our truck stopped. My family and I raced out the car, we have stopped in a forest that looked familiar.
“Can it be” I asked in my head as my thoughts blew up “after all these times we have passed the road are we actually here.” We were at adventure forest in whangarei on saturday. My heart bursted with excitement I could of just screamed out joy but that would've been embarrassing
As we all ran up to the entrance we patiently waited to be approached by one of their staff. After a while we were accompanied by a lady she told us all there specials, equipped us with what we need and told us what we needed to do to keep us safe.
When the lady had finished helping and teaching us everything it was now our time to try as much courses as we could.
We started bottom first “Oh these are too easy” I yelled then as we climbed higher and higher up the courses it started to get harder and scarier. As a few courses passed it came to adventure one of the highest, that was just a bit scary. Then came to vertigo slightly higher but that one was mostly flying foxes. Last one that we did was challenge.
Climbing up that ladder my heart beat and beat it was around about ten+ feet off ground. They expected you to walk across x’s that were like swings in the air and ride across on a skateboard that you balance on. “ Oh hell no” I yelled. But as I turned around there when no escapes I was trapped I had to do it or else I would have to go all the way back . So I kept going. After a few minutes that felt as if they were hours I had finally finished the course I quickly said “Thank you” and we all left back to the truck and headed off home.
Oh what a day we had one of the funniest / scariest days of my life. My favourite course was challenge it was the most challenging and scary course. Next time I am going to try adrenaline and acrobat. What an awesome day.
